Flipnotics

Did an ad for Flipnotics today. I'm still getting the hang of food photography. I'm usually happy with how it turns out, but it tends to take me a long time to get it right.

Pendroy Montana

Pendroy Montana. This photo was commissioned by one of my collectors. It is the newest member of my Montana Ghost Town collection. The final print for this piece is 30"x30" and will be hung with out a frame.

This was my first wedding at Vintage Villas. I was pleasantly surprised to discover my childhood fiend Wendy was the coordinator.

Montana

I've been in Montana for most of the last two weeks having a wonderful time. I was amazed by the number of homemade signs discouraging Meth use! They were most prominant in small towns. I documented many of them, but I wish I had photographed more. This one is from the town of Whitefish.

To my suprise r at the chron didn't notice my Faceless Warewolfs photo was a knock of a Nirvana poster. :)

Lemurs

Photographed these fellows for the Austin Chronicle. They were very nice guys. Funny thing happened on teh shoot - someone stopped and asked them for thier signature. Maybe it was a setup and maybe not, but it made me smile!!! Guess I was in the company of real rock stars.

Found this great thing I wrote ages ago for the chron. It is about how I came to be one of there photographers. Makes me happy to think about how such a lucky accident had such a huge effect on my life and career. Link.

Jolie and Josh

When Jolie hired me for this wedding 3 weeks ago she said it was going to be small. I forgot that small for a country wedding is 300 people. :) Roxanne and I had a BLAST at this wedding. The ceremony was in a historic church in Gonzalez Texas and the reception was at a private estate just down the street. The family and friends did all of the decorating and it looked incredible! I'm amazed by how crafty the decor was. Someday maybe I'll have my own small country wedding.

Chronicle Cover

My photograph of Sound Team was on the cover of the Chronicle this week. They were photographed in the capitol because there latest album was relased on the capitol lable.

I joined the Austin Chamber of Commerce. Just trying to be a good citzen of my community.

I have a photo in the May 17 issue of Entertainment Weekly. It is of the band Voxtrot.

Nicole and Jesse

Best wedding ever! No offense to the other brides who read my blog but this wedding was amazing! They got ready at the San Jose which is an amazing place to be. The ceremony was at the little country church in New Sweden. It was great to see all of the New Yorkers loving the scenery. The reception (with free flowing ritas) was at El Soul y La Luna.

Update

Mastercard used more of my photos on Priceless.com I went to San Antonio to do this shoot.

I also did a photoshoot of my friend Nakia's band in Luck TX.

Most of the rest of my time this week has been spent working on a pull out ad section for the Austin American Statesman. The section is supposed to look like editorail work. Making photos that are ads disquised as editorail was an adventure. If you are insterested in seeing all of the photos they will be on the cover of an ad pullout in paper that comes out June 8.
