Pink Avocado

Yesterday I had the great pleasure of photographing the grand opening event for the Palm Door, a new event venue in downtown Austin. The in house caterer, Pink Avocado, did the catering. Everything was very yummy!!! Good news because they will be catering my wedding in just a few short weeks. :)

The Triangle Lofts

I recently did a project for the Lofts at the Triangle in Austin. It was really great to see lots of my favorite West Elm furniture in the flesh. :) The designers did a great job with the unit. I rented a tilt shift lens to work the perspectives. It was pretty neat.

W

The W Hotel is coming to Austin. They had a big ground breaking event yesterday. Magic Johnson was in attendance. He almost ran into me while I was taking a photo of someone else, but was very nice about it and apologized. Will Wynn had a few things to say. It was interesting being the "official" W photographer. People kept asking which publication I was photographing for and the only thing I could think to say was all of them. :) I admit that on the way to the car someone stopped me and asked if I would take there photo I refused on the grounds that I was "out of film". It's true... sort of.

This amazing event was organized by local Austin event company Kennedy Creative . I'm looking forward to doing lots of work with them in the future! They made my job easy and fun.

Uncles Paradise Rolling Roadshow

Last night was a very special treat! As part of the Alamo Drafthouse's Fantastic Fest Uncles Paradise was screened in Tim's front yard. The movie was projected onto a mini version of the Rolling Roadshow screen. The food was amazing and featured seared Ahi tuna and an assortment of other TASTY treats. The champagne bottles were opened with a saber! And my old friend Mike Curtis was in attendance! I didn't even know he is currently residing in the USA.

Yesterday I photographed the ad for Sago a contemporary Mexican food place that will be opening in early 2008 in Triangle Park.

Fantastic Fest !

This week is Fantastic Fest at the Alamo. Sorry some of these photos are GROSS!!! I'm not very into blood and guts, but I put on my professional face and did my best. The goat head gave me nightmares. Yuck. BTW sorry for post dating this post. Not good blogging manners. Don't want to scare the new readers from the bridals show.

Business Executives

These are from a Chamber of Commerce luncheon for business executives last week at Jeffrey's. It was informative to be a fly on the wall in a room full of "fat cats" talking about local issues.
